Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

•How do I care for my plugs?•
We try to make our products as tough as possible and test them thoroughly, but we recommend that you avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or getting them hot and/or humid as this may spoil the finish. Please avoid exposing them to things that contain harsh chemicals (nail polish remover or hairspray for example) as this could ruin them. We would also advise against immersing them in water and sleeping in them.

Our plugs CAN NOT be autoclaved, but can be cleaned with a bit of soap and water.

Custom and personalised orders

•I've ordered some made-to-order (custom) items and now I want to cancel.•
We're sorry you want to cancel your order. We can fully refund you, provided we haven't started your order yet -- we'll send you a convo confirming your purchase once we start making your order.

If you cancel AFTER we start making your order and we've sent out the confirmation, we can give you a refund minus 25% to cover our cost

Wholesale availability

Please send an email to wholesale@lovelyplugly.co.uk if you fancy some wholesale lovely pluglys.

Materials

•I don't like steel. Do you have any other materials I can wear?•
We can offer you titanium or glass for your earholes. Please let us know if you'd like either of these materials and we'll see what we can do :)

Returns

We send all items out in sealed bags and can not accept returns on opened / worn items due to hygiene reasons, except in the unlikely event you've been sent the wrong size or defective goods. Please note that we can not give refunds for worn items, we can only exchange them for the same product.

We can not accept returns on custom / made to order items, unless wrong or defective.

What's this PLA stuff you use?

PLA (polylactic acid) is an biodegradable organic polyester-type bioplastic. It is a derived from renewable materials such as corn starch and sugar cane.

After we print, post-process, and treat the jewellery, it has a similar feel to wooden jewellery (or metal, if you choose a metal option), but it should be treated like acrylic jewellery. We recommend these for short-term wear in fully-healed, well-established naked piercings, so be sure to take them out at night. They can also be a wee bit drying in a naked piercing after a while, and because of this we recommend that you give them a coat of jojoba oil or Holey Butt'r (or similar) on the wearable area before insertion.
